Windsor to Kingston upon Thames (4-nights)
This 4-night cruise takes you on a charming journey along the River Thames, beginning in the historic town of Windsor, with its world-famous castle, and finishing in the lively Surrey market town of Kingston upon Thames, just a stone’s throw from central London.
Between Windsor and Kingston, the Thames offers a rich variety of scenery, wildlife, historic buildings, and fascinating river architecture. Walkers will enjoy the Thames Path, which traces the river for the entire length of the cruise, allowing opportunities to step ashore and rejoin the boat while still keeping close to the waterway.
We begin in Windsor, with ample time to explore the highlights of this splendid town and its neighbour, Eton. Guests may visit Windsor Castle, Windsor Great Park, and the historic Eton College before we set off downstream.
From Windsor, we cruise through Old Windsor to reach Runnymede, the riverside site of the Magna Carta Memorial, the Kennedy Memorial, and the RAF Memorial — all within a short stroll from the bank.
Continuing onwards, the Thames winds through Egham, Staines, and Chertsey before reaching Weybridge, where the River Wey meets the Thames. Below the lock, walkers can experience the last remaining ferry on the non-tidal Thames, still linking the Thames Path across the river.
Our voyage then passes Shepperton — home of the famous Shepperton Film Studios — and on through Walton and Sunbury before arriving at Hampton Court. Here, guests have time to discover the magnificent Tudor palace and its spectacular gardens, one of the crown jewels of the Thames.
Finally, we cruise gently downstream to Kingston upon Thames, a vibrant riverside town full of history, shopping and charm, and the perfect place to conclude our Thames adventure.
